A new patch just dropped for Demon’s Souls (PS5), and the only change is the reintroduction of the old Cat Ring icon

On February 5th, 2025 patch 1.006 for Demon’s Souls (PS5) was officially released, and the only noticeable difference is the reintroduction of the beloved Cat Ring icon from the original PS3 version.

This obviously left the fanbase just as baffled as you’d think, but game director Hidetaka Miyazaki was so kind to release an official statement, addressing the matter: “I did not work for that game you morons, stop asking for a fucking interview. Also, how the fuck did you get into my house you filthy game journalists.”

After the acquisition of the “Bloodborne” IP by a third party developer, it would seem that Mr Michael Zaki is secretly working on a new project by himself, and his cryptic behavior is likely due to an NDA.
