It was February 2019 when Hollow Knight: Silksong was finally announced and everyone thought that it would release by the end of 2020. And then the years passed, communicating with aliens was now easier than with Team Cherry, Silksong’s Developers; the so-called “Silksanity” today threatens the lives of many human beings. But today, after countless baits from the official Silksong subreddit we have a new ray of hope.
Popular Vocaloid and Anime Character Hatsune Miku took over Team Cherry’s Social Accounts and, according to her, she replaced Hornet as the protagonist, following also a rebrand of the entire game to Hollow Knight: Mikusong. Mikusong will now release on February 27th, 2025, and we can expect more news soon.
As of now we can only speculate what her moves will be and how different she will be from Hornet, who was now spotted at a retirement home in New Jersey.
Reddit users also commented that while this was sudden, at least now they would be able to play the game. The chance to play Silksong Mikusong is making them do some unhinged things to show their appreciation towards the virtual idol, like building a Miku temple in the middle of Time Square and a guy doing the Append mode of Project Sekai‘s Tell your World in the middle of a fire. (Some reports are saying that the latter guy is just an average Project Sekai player.)
